About Smaklig — AI-driven meal planning from Sweden
Smaklig is a Swedish AI-driven meal-planning platform. We help households save 150–250 SEK/week and cut food waste through weekly menus tailored to your TDEE, allergies and current ICA campaigns. Founded in 2023 by Alexander Eriksson, based in Stockholm. We are privately funded and accept no payments from food brands.
Our mission
Swedish households throw out 19 kg of edible food per person per year (Naturvårdsverket, 2024) — about 1,400 SEK per household. Weekly store campaigns are missed because no one has the energy to plan around them. Smaklig lets AI do the work: we fetch campaign prices from your ICA store and build your week's dinners around them — tailored to your goals, allergies and taste.

Our principles
- •Evidence-based — at least 3–5 primary sources per health article (Livsmedelsverket, SCB, Folkhälsomyndigheten, Naturvårdsverket, PubMed).
- •Allergy safety — recipes are validated server-side against 14 allergens. Matches are blocked (not just warned).
- •Swedish-first — Swedish food database (Livsmedelsverket), ICA campaign cycles, NNR 2023. Not a translated US app.

Funding and independence
Smaklig is privately funded. We accept no payments from food brands, GLP-1 medication manufacturers, or supplement sellers. We have no affiliate links on health articles. Future revenue will come from Smaklig Premium (subscription post-beta via Stripe).
