Salsiccia-Style Pasta with Short Pasta Shapes and Mozzarella

Hearty Italian pasta with a well-seasoned mince sauce and melting mini mozzarella.
Ingredients

- 400 gbeef and pork mince
- 120 gshort pasta shapes
- 100 gmini mozzarella
- 1 stbrown onion
- 2 stgarlic cloves
- 1 stcourgette
- 1 tskfennel seeds
- 0.5 tskchilli flakes
- 400 gchopped tomatoes
- 0.5 krukafresh basil
How to make it

Cook the pasta in plenty of salted water until al dente, reserving 0.5 dl of the pasta water.

Mix the mince with crushed fennel seeds, salt and black pepper.

Heat a pan and brown the mince well so it gets a crisp surface.

Add the chopped onion, garlic and diced courgette and sauté for 4 minutes.

Stir in the chilli flakes and chopped tomatoes and simmer for 5 minutes.

Stir the pasta and pasta water into the sauce and remove from the heat.

Fold in the mini mozzarella and fresh basil just before serving so the cheese softens without melting completely.
